Still struggling with man coverage? This week’s update will solve those problems! We officially have two weeks under our belt in Madden 23! While there are certainly some issues that need to be addressed by EA, overall the game is in a much better spot than last year from a skill gap perspective. In today’s update we have gameplay breakdowns for both Gun Trips TE and Dollar 3-2 so you can see what goes through my mind when I run them. That being said, we’re still playing Madden 22 for another month, so today’s Film Room video shows you the defensive adjustment I’ve been adding to my setups, regardless of formation, that’s helped me force more turnovers in Madden 22.

Hey guys! Hope everyone had a fun & safe 4th of July weekend. For those of you still grinding Madden with me, this past weekend marked the final Weekend League of Madden 22. I was able to go 23-2 to match my all-time best record by using the schemes in the Pistol Trips & Pistol Weak I Flex Ebooks, as well as the loop blitz in Dollar 326 that I break down in one of the Film Room videos from May.

As we face the final month and a half before the release of Madden 23, my goal is to continue focusing on fundamentals that can carry over into future Madden games. In this week’s Film Room video, I talk about how you can use strategic onside kicks to take control the clock and field position, as well as providing you guys with a chart breaking down exactly when I think you should onside kick based on the score and how much time is remaining. If you find yourself struggling in the passing game, definitely check out this week’s Premium Tip video on Pocket Passing. This is one of those fundamental skills that will carry over to next year’s game and beyond, and the summer is a perfect time to fine tune those skills!

Also, in case you haven’t heard, the Madden 23 Beta is out! I don’t have any Beta codes to give out, but if you hop on Twitter you’ll find lots of creators giving out codes every day. Madden 23 right now looks extremely promising and will almost certainly be a step in the right direction for the Madden franchise, and if you have any questions about it I’m happy to answer them as best as I can. That being said, we’ll still be playing Madden 22 for another two months, so the updates won’t stop!

Hey guys! I’ve had Covid for the past, but I’m back to full strength now and really excited about this update. Check out the new Premium Tip video to see my new favorite blitz in the game (out of Dollar 326) - it’s a 3-man blitz with a looping linebacker than will give your opponents MAJOR problems. I’m loving it so far and might build an entire Ebook around it. Other updates include a HUGE addition to Pistol Weak I Flex with my breakdown on jurdling toward the pitch key side in Power Option, as well as some new passing setups for Pistol Trips.

Hey guys! I spent a lot of time this past week learning a new defense that will be showcased in my next YouTube video and will be the focus of the next Ebook on the site. The formation is 43 Even 6-1 and it’s probably the best defense in Madden 22 right now. While the YouTube video will cover lots of the fundamentals, I’ll go over all of those again in more depth in the Ebook, and also will cover detailed setups for specific formations and game situations.
