The placement of your players is extremely important for beating the man blitz meta that has taken over to start the year. Ideally, you’ll want a tall TE with a route running ability and a tall WR with a route running ability who you will put as your inside WR. Currently in MUT, I am using 6’6 Kyle Pitts at TE and 6’8 TE Donald Parahm Jr. subbed in as my inside WR. Having tall players with route running abilities in these positions is crucial for beating man coverage effectively. The route running ability is more important than the height, so if you’re playing regs and have a short WR with an ability like Slot-O-Matic, then use him as your inside WR.
NOTE: I recommend always having your trips receivers aligned to the wide side of the field, but some pro players prefer to always have their trips receivers on their left side. Try both setups to see which one you’re more comfortable with.
