Introduction

What’s up guys! Welcome to my Pistol Trips Ebook out of the Run N Gun playbook. I’m so unbelievably excited to release this scheme for you guys because running this offense has been by far the most fun I’ve had playing Madden 22. As the name would imply Pistol Trips is a Pistol formation (QB takes the snap 2-3 yards behind the center with a RB lined up directly behind him) with three receivers out wide to one side and a tight end on the line of scrimmage on the other side. It is very similar to Gun Trips TE, and many of the concepts used in that formation apply to Pistol Trips as well. There are only three playbooks that have Pistol Trips - Run N Gun, Bills, and Pistol. While you could certainly make a viable scheme using the Bills or Pistol playbooks, Run N Gun is without a doubt the best playbook for Pistol Trips because it has so many ways to attack the defense. If you take the time to master Pistol Trips, then there’s no doubt in my mind that this will become one of your favorite Madden schemes ever.

Now for some important notes:

1. The backbone of this scheme is the play PA HB Flat - I call it about 75% of the time and it’s the reason this scheme exists at all, so please watch all the breakdowns for it!

2. This scheme is designed for Next Gen Madden 22 - if you try this scheme on Current Gen Madden 22, I cannot guarantee that the setups will work. Instead, I’d recommend checking out any of my other Current Gen schemes!
